Surfex Film is a UK-based e-commerce platform that offers a premium range of architectural films, including finishes like leather, soft touch, wood, stone, and concrete. We built the website from the ground up with a strategic SEO-first approach to maximize visibility and attract interior designers, contractors, and commercial buyers looking for high-quality surface finishes.

Challenge & Solution

Building Online Visibility from Scratch in a Niche Market
Launching Surfex Film in a competitive niche required us to overcome the challenges of low initial brand awareness and a highly visual product catalog. Architectural film buyers expect not just performance, but aesthetics and convenience in shopping. Our goal was to structure the site and optimize it for both search engines and buyers with high intent.
We built a clean, scalable e-commerce platform optimized for product discoverability. Product categories were structured around material finishes and user intent (e.g., “stone wrap,” “leather film”), and we implemented keyword-rich metadata and schema markup. Each product included high-quality images, textures, detailed specifications, and sample order options to improve engagement.
As a result of our efforts, Surfex Film’s search visibility skyrocketed—impressions grew from 9.7K to 103K, and monthly clicks rose from 285 to 1.47K. Although CTR decreased due to the jump in impressions, the substantial growth in overall traffic translated into stronger sales and repeat customer interest.

Our Process

We began with competitor and keyword research tailored to architectural film buyers in the UK. From there, we designed an e-commerce layout optimized for search and UX, focusing on load speed, image quality, and navigation. As the catalog grew, we added filters for finish type, color, and use case. Product descriptions were written to blend SEO value with informative content.
